Grant Ritchie has over 40 years’ experience in the reclamation of land for arable use after Opencast Mining operations. Having originally worked on various sites for British Coal our restoration operations expanded in 2000 after witnessing the restoration process on other sites. Grant was driven to improve on the current processes and results so invested in specialist machinery to develop a professional efficient process in the restoration of opencast ground, starting with our own farm Monteith Houses. Most recently we have worked on various sites for Scottish Coal and Hargreaves from Completely De-stoned “Back to Arable” projects, as well as some more cost effective Greening projects to suit the needs of our customers.

We have a wide range of innovative approaches to best suit a variety of challenges presented by these type of projects.
